I have. I love it when the AI just starts eating up Europe as German Reich when historical focuses are enabledHas anyone played HOI4?
The best EU3 mod. Long story, but it was supposed to be a standalone EU game in itself. But it died dramatically. Then people made a lot of other mods for it.manga mundi?

It makes the game way more realistic and adds more interesting ways to play but a lot of people hate it because they can no longer just conquer everything without their empire collapsing on itself.
sounds neat. i assume you have to deal with penalties and stuff for the differences in culture/logistics/rebellions and stuff?
Mods are the best part of almost any game i've played. Add so many more playable hours.
Yup different cultures. A lot of things about trade fixed and upgraded. Reputation is a lot more important and harder to game. Bad stuff happens if you have low stability. Getting cores became really hard if you weren't a cultural/religious fit.
Attrition was really important and provinces were much harder to conquer. Small things like the game penalizing you if you had a huge standing army or unrealistic cavalry focus. Navies were a cultural thing - very significant game decision if you wanted to build a powerful navy.
Magna Mundi was very event based. So if you were playing in the Mediterranean, you had to deal with Barbary pirates. In the Hanseatic league, you had the politics. European nations had the spice route path and all that.
I think my core strategy when I play is to kill everyone and take their stuff. Rinse and repeat until I am Emperor of Byzantium.Haven't played EU4 in a long time. Still don't understand how to play CK2 properly.
Yeah, painting the map isn't that fun tbh. The first part of this play through I set up separate kingdoms. My plan was to conquer India and go from there in EU4, unfortunately my vassals started taking over the Arabian Peninsula/Afria/Iran etcLol I never really went for the whole paint the map my color way of playing. My goal is essentially to form a decent sized kingdom by the end of the game and convert to EUIV with a believable situation on the map. I've had trouble with that as of late though.
