Anyone up for a New Game?

I asked about Dungeons and Dragons a while back and had some positive responses so If anyone here is still interested or wants to sign up now, then we can get a game going. Definitely open for new players, we just need a good Dungeon Master first.

Edit: How the heck do I edit the title of this thread from "Anyone up to a New Game?" to "Anyone up for a New Game?"

Yessssss I'm always good for a D&D game!

plus you want a max 4-8 people per game or so because then shit just gets confusing for both the players and DM.

As far as DM'ing is concerned, *cough* @Sabastyn *cough* (I doubt he'll do it btw but it's worth poking the bear to wake him up) My laptop died as well so I am not really in a good spot to DM at the moment ?

Actually, I'd be much more interested in being an assistant DM/GM. Design characters and factions, world building, quests, maps, details and all that.

You don't actually want me as a main DM because my imagination gets everything EX-rated. The last game I DMed involved a plot with fleshmongers - something like necromancers, except they work with living flesh in a human centipede like manner.

I think we should decide if we are going 3.5 or a different edition. I personally went from 5e to 3.5e to pathfinder.

If we have newbies then I think 5e would be easier for them, but if for the most part we are all somewhat experienced we can go 3.5e. Pathfinder is a whole other beast altogether.

Pathfinder is too hardcore IMO. I've never tried 5E though.

Like I said in the other threads, I'm a big fan of FATE for forum roleplays, because it doesn't require 15 pages of dicerolls just to get your first adventure done. 7 characters can really bog down a round.

FATE is also nice because you focus on building characters rather than min/maxing stats. D&D is a gamey game, like P&W, and any roleplaying just happens on the side.

Also I think we need some rules for posting rate - like everyone is expected to post once every 3 days or they'll lose their turn.

Yeah that's fine by me. Just saying the options since FATE is an underdog. If we do D&D, we should seriously consider a live game. Which is not so bad honestly because we can bump/notify people on Slack now and use diceroll bots.

Oh how do we handle dice rolls now?
