Anime!! I was going to start a topic about this sooner or later until I came across this you know - sweet.

You should know the kind of anime I like by looking at my name and my profile photo.  B|

Decided I might as well show my shit/good/excellent anime taste and start doing writeups of stuff I watched or currently watching

The following are anime that I watched over the course of several months.

Kuma Miko (4/10)

Let me just preface and say that the only reason I decided to pick this up is because bear gifs and I have a lot of time to waste (this when I was waiting before enrolling into university). For the most part it was alright, a mix of comedy and cuteness. I would give it a 5.5 or so if not for the fucking trainwreck of an ending.

KonoSuba first season (7/10)

Pretty good. Although I haven't touch the second season yet.

Amagami SS (dropped)

Decided a while back "maybe i should try some true, honest romance anime without any harem, change things up a bit" Reddit recommended this. Only made it 3 episode or so before dropping it. Maybe romance is not for me.

Hyouka (6.5/10)

anime with school slice of life and mystery combined. Enjoyed it quite a bit.

3-Gatsu no Lion, ongoing (7/10)

Really improved quite a bit compared to the last time I watched it. Also quite a good change of atmosphere too considering the type of anime I usually watch.

Gintama (dropped)

I'm usually i sucker for comedy anime and heard that this is a pretty good show to get into (despite having hundreds of episode). Watched the first 10 episodes or so and it was meh, thought people was overhyping the show.

Read up why people like the show so much and it's essentially:  "oh, it's get really good after 50 episodes or so. Episode ___ is really good, You should watch em before making your judgement"

Yeah... how about no

The rest of the writeup coming soon-ish

EXPLOSION!

No plz, I have actual studies to do

nah jk, there's always time for anime. I dunno why but every time i see KonoSuba stuff, i promised myself "hey, maybe i should start watching it now... ehhh i got (non-important stuff) to do, maybe later" repeat ad infinitum.

The same thing happened with Re:zero. Made it to episode 18 or so before going "eh, i guess I'll watch it later" all of this despite the fact that I've been starting quite a few new anime

Alright, next part of the writeup.

Nanbaka season 2, ongoing (7.5/10)

And we have even more prison shenanigans but this time with... less glitter? The show is going on a more serious direction with character development which is nice to see although the pacing seems to slow a bit

82890.jpg

Youjo Senki, ongoing (6/10)

Like I mention earlier, watching evil loli doing evil things is surprisingly fun. We'll see where the show goes next

Kubikiri Cycle: something something long, ongoing (7/10)

Gib episode so I have more to write about. We'll all be wrinkly old people by the time all the episodes are released

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (9/10)

It's damn great. I might've been binge-watching it for the past few days. Love the SHAFT style comedic gag which is somewhat reminiscence of the Monogatari series which I also like.

And the first one for this season is finished

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2: Explosion/10 ... I mean 8/10

Huh...I thought it would get at least 12...Haven't see ep 10 yet though no spoilers please.
I like when the episodes aren't the standard 12-13/24-25 because it means that they have used the correct number of episodes instead of adapting the anime to the standard duration of the season and ending inevitably doing unnecessary things to lengthen or rushing by deleting some things

Nanbaka (2017) 7/10 Waiting for season 3

3-gatsu no Lion 6.5/10

Also finished I am a hero (manga), great story, solid 9/10, many people didn't liked the ending, It reminds me of the end of Lost, and I liked it

Currently catching up with JoJo diamond is unbreakable, been putting it off for a while.
Best JoJo animated

You guys ever watch Dragonball Z
Why americans call it Dragonball Z when Z is just the second season? The anime/manga is called Dragon Ball

Funfact, should have been Dragon Ball 2 but the publisher has confused the 2 with a Z

Anyway yes, everyone watched Dragon Ball as kid, now there's Dragon Ball Super

Dragon Ball > Dragon Ball Z >>> Dragon Ball Super >>> Shit >>> Dragon Ball GT

You left out the part where everyone liked the Z instead of a 2, and Toriyama decided to just go with it, making it *officially* Dragon Ball Z. Also, most Americans grew up on Dragon Ball Z as Dragon Ball didn't reakky air in the US until after Z in 2001. Funimation tried to air it in 1995 but cancelled the project due to low ratings after just 13 episodes. Dragon Ball Z on the other hand aired in 1996 and was successful. As a result, for the most part Americans just know Dragon Ball Z to be the anime they grew up with, and may or may not have seen the original Dragon Ball something like 5 years later. Remember, the anime following in the US in the 90s was nothing like it is today.

You're right about that. I definitely prefer an anime to have as many episodes as it needs to tell the story and tell it well. That said, I was simply saying I expected more than 10 episodes for season 2. =p

Watched the second season without the first one? View attachment 3256

It's unfortunate, but whatever. =p

Now just suffering through Super, wondering if it's ever going to be good, and only keeping up with it I guess because I have nothing else to do so why not.

Super excited for Overlord 2 though! I read the manga and it's great, can't wait for it. ^_^
