I have a fish as my pet. It's easy to take care of, requires little to no attention, and doesn't wake you up at night. I actually have 3 fishes, and feeding them is just as simple as literally dropping food in their tank.

had a fish freshman year, it was the longest lived of any fish on the floor
survived from august until june when at home i forgot to water it extra times during a heat wave

Cat with two kittens, three doggos, a few chickens, a cow (we also have like 32 other ones, but Jennifer is the only nice one), we have a duck which ran away. Although lives at our dam with his like 10 female ducks.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your pet shrimp. I used to have a gold fish but it drowned.
By drowned, I mean the water became dirty and my fish suffocated because someone forgot to clean the fish bowl.

Yeah i live on a farm mate, closest town is about half an hour drive, so not that far.
