Example with the battle simulator
Classic case, 3 nations over a single nation, all of them with 9 cities
The 3 nations use the first 6 MAPs to do ground battles and be sure to take ground control, I think at least 2 of them need 2 ground battles to take ground control, but let's say all of them get the ground control with the second attack, then they take air control and the single nation already lost all the soldiers, some tank and and now the tanks have 1/2 of their power, he did a rebuild but he can't rebuild everything, our guys did a complete rebuild
50 soldiers and 10750 tanks vs 0 soldiers and 5000 tanks
You ordered a ground attack upon the nation of SIMULATED NATION led by SIMULATED LEADER. The attack was an immense triumph. Your forces lost 50 soldiers and 745 tanks, while SIMULATED LEADER's defenders lost 0 soldiers and 1,631 tanks.
135000 soldiers and 10750 tanks vs 0 soldiers and 5000 tanks
You ordered a ground attack upon the nation of SIMULATED NATION led by SIMULATED LEADER. The attack was an immense triumph. Your forces lost 19,160 soldiers and 732 tanks, while SIMULATED LEADER's defenders lost 0 soldiers and 1,194 tanks.
You added 134950 soldiers but you lost 19160 of them, lost a similar number of tanks, used more munitions, and you killed less tanks
Ok, with soldiers you can stole almost 2 times the money and do 2/5 more infra damage, but in the first part of the war do you care about money stolen and infra destroyed? If a nation hit you now those 19160 soldiers less can make you lose ground control at the first attack
