Space Rome

I love the space Rome theme because basically Rome was one city that expanded throughout Europe. So it's quite similar to what would happen if humans went out and colonized a bunch of aliens and integrated them into society.

I'm a big fan of the Rimworld lore in space. Basically FTL doesn't exist, so colonies are decades or centuries away from the core and split off in communication and supplies.

So how are we doing the space Rome structure? Similar to which point of Rome?

Idk how a Space Rome theme would be any different form a Rome theme. Same titles, some naming structure. The only thing I can really think of are the graphics that would go with the theme.

If it was going to be done, FTL exists please.

I mean "Rome" is pretty big so there's a lot to pick from.

I take it we're a monarchic despotism, led by Arx Infinitus Caesar?

I'm voting to drop Roman numerals because it'll be crazy for trades.

Remember that we can just make up whatever we want. Also, no @Lord Darien because it hasn't been fixed yet. Be patient.

We must take into account the culture of TKR as it stands today. We are, no doubt, a meritocracy and I don't think we wish to change that. This means that our Space Rome gov should reflect that. On the other hand, we seem to be a weird mixture of people with different personalities and styles, so a more imperial or federation kind of Space Rome theme would seem plausible.

Don't know where I was being impatient, t'was simply a question. As to the Praetorian Guard they won't hold any power, it was simply an elite guard the protected the Emperor.
