The Sino Republic has removed all taxes on the trade of goods and services, meanwhile has increased Corperation and income taxes to approximately 50%. Sino shall also be implementing a 10% tax on exports. After an initial burst of outrage by the population of Sino, Rook appeased the masses with promises of improved infrastructure and better working conditions. He said:

"The aim of this reform on taxation of the Sino Republic is to increase the strength of the domestic market within Sino, and to reduce the reliance on world trade. We aim to double the national income of Sino, and to reduces the wealth gap to a reasonable level. It is our hope to become a strong, econmic consumer of goods, as well as a strong producer. These reforms shall do what is best for Sino."

This is indeed the intention, as a temporary measure in order to give greater control over the economic developments of the country to the central government, in order to develop infrastructure across the country, bringing it all up to a similar standard
