Welcome to the Russian Federation's national news board, the "News and Events"

This is the national news thread where all major developments on Mother Russia's place in the world, prowess, and power will be reported. 

The Leadership of Russia would like to note that this thread is for News only and not discussion. If an ambassador or foreign leader would like to comment on a particular events, one brief comment per nation will be permitted (so as to allow reaction without cluttering the news thread). If any nation has questions or would like to discuss further actions, they are encouraged to contact any of the Russian Federation Leadership or make a new thread in their own national subforum and tag the following leadership:

The new Supreme Commander of the Russian Federation Armed Forces announces:

"We are now undergoing an overhaul of the Russian Armed Forces. In the decades since the dissolution of the United Soviet Socialist Republics, the Russian Federation has seen a dramatic change in policy and placement on the global stage and with eyes elsewhere, the Russian military machine has been rediscovered and found in deplorable condition. We are undergoing change beginning this year. We are going to clean off the rust, oil the machine, full revitalization and we are going to be stronger and more efficient than the Red Army ever was.

The world has entered a new age beginning in 2017 and we wish to confidently walk into the coming years, shoulder-to-shoulder with our allies.

On behalf of the Russian Federation, I give this message to the World.

As established back in the 1990's from the ashes of the Soviet Union, Russia has been a part of the Commonwealth of Independent Nations (CIS). This cooperative pact between 9 of the 15 former Soviet states offers all nations involved and those around the world a great opportunity to grow economically as the organization will be pursuing infrastructure and trade growth to hopefully spur an increase in trading with Central Asian and Eastern European markets on the global marketplaces.  

Also, as per the CIS Charter, there is an agreement of non-aggression between these 9 nations and also one of mutual defense via the joint-nation air defense with command centers in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. Additionally, Russia today will be taking on 50% of the expenses of supporting this Commonwealth of Independent States as decided upon in 1998.

Russia will also, separate of the re-activation of the CIS and as a sign of good faith, issue to each member nation of the CIS (Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan). There were conditions for the re-entry of Georgia; Russia must agree to remove soldiers from the separatist's regions of the North and Northwest regions of the nation, Georgia agreed to the CIS charter when Russian troops were withdrawn on the 1st of June in 2018.

On behalf of the Russian Federation, I give this message to the World. 

For many years, the world has lived in fear of the dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, and his determination to test nuclear weapons devices and threaten the Western powers with them. In the absence of other nations taking action against the regime, and the regime's failure to instill confidence in Russia, their only ally, we have deemed it is time to take action. 

In the night, Russian elite forces in cooperation with resistance in the North Korean government have removed Kim Jong-un from the seat of power. He is currently being held in a secure facility in the South of Russia pending trial once proper jurisdiction has been determined. In the meantime, he is being treated well and attended to by Russia's finest. Two close military advisers were also removed from the nation in the same operation.

In his place now sits Choe Ryong Hae, who has served in many high-ranking positions of the North Korean government and has a history of military service and organizer of North Korean youth organizations. Of his own choice, Choe Ryong Hae has appointed the Russian adviser, Valery Sukhinin, he chose through prior communication to his newly formed cabinet. Sukhinin has also informed the new prime minister that he will be stepping down from his position in one month's time.

In his first morning as acting Prime Minister of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea (DPRK), he delivered a stirring speech to the North Korean people and announced that he dreamed of a more free Korea, one of open ports, one of freedoms, one of beauty. He repeated the Russian government's promise to respect the New Korean administration as completely sovereign. He also proclaimed that his administration would be pursuing admittance into the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Asian equal economic and defense pact that includes Russia, many central Asian nations, and several more in Eastern Europe. 

As a condition for the new administration's admission, Russia and Belarus have insisted that the DPRK abandon its nuclear endeavors. They are encouraged to continue developing their own national defense as long as this does not include nuclear weaponry. 

Discussions between all CIS nations are expected in the bi-annual summit in Minsk, Belarus in about one month.

Between September 4th and 5th, 2018, the Leaders of Russia and the leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States met in Minsk for an emergency meeting of the CIS and their protector (and the leader of the Illuminati) and it was concluded that in the interests of streamlining communication and reducing the defensive reaction times and logistical barriers, the Nations of the Baltic, the CIS, and Russia have signed the Nationalization Defense Accords and all these governments therein allocated their power to the First Elected Chief Officer of the Federation of Russia, Eurasia, and Central Asia (To be known as United Satellite States of Russia/USSR)

Russian Defensive Consolidation of Allies "News and Events" headline for Breaking News September 2018 publication

On September 9th, 2018, the minister of foreign affairs from former Russia/ now USSR had just finished a long night of diplomatic negotiations with the CIS and Baltic leaders. He traveled to New Delhi to discuss the terms of Mutually Assured Defense with the three powers of North, South, and Eastern Asia. In like manner to that of the Baltic and CIS leaders, there was concern over the aggression of the Western nations, direct and indirect.

Options were discussed for managing the defense of all three nations and their outlying provinces efficiently and effectively. A coalition of the major parties in India were present and made a surprisingly fast decision to ask Russia to take on Defense of the Indian Subcontinent in the absence of a strong and active leader. The Russian officials were hesitant in regards to overstepping the terms of the Alpha Helix Accord which extended at face value only to international economic and defensive maneuvers to ensure longevity of the member nations. However, the party leaders deliberated and agreed that bestowing  governance power over the Subcontinent to the joint operations of the Russian-Eastern European-Central Asian leadership would be the best way to ensure the survival of the Indian people in an increasingly threatening world.

Later that night, the noble Rook of the Sino Republik approached and privately discussed with the Russian/USSR foreign minister his availability to accept international appointments. In an ever-destabilizing world stage, the leader of the Sino Republik felt an urge to withdraw from the public eye to spend more time with his family. In his fear for the fate of the Chinese, Mongolian, and Iranian people, he requested that the foreign minister, having worked closely with the Sino government since the new administrations came to power around the world in 2016, be the person to take the reins from him and lead the East Asian nation to prominence in the world.  Taken aback, the minister from the USSR insisted on his desire to remain loyal to the Russian govt and people of the combined USSR.

Into the next morning, the combined cabinets of the USSR, India, Russia, and the Sino Republik discussed the terms for transference of power from the Chinese president over to the Russian foreign minister with the oversight of both the Chinese and Russian governments. It was agreed the Chinese military commanders would remain in their commands and posts, the same was requested at this time of the Indian party coalition, both requests were happily granted by the leaders of Russia and the USSR.

By noon on the 10th of September, 2018, the international leaders rested and word was sent to the peoples of Asia and the world that effective the 11th of September, 2018, the governance, defense, and final authority over the Indian Subcontinent and her province of Japan and the Sino Republik to include her provinces of Iran and Mongolia will be granted to the highest commanders of the Russian Federation and United Satellite States of Russia. The Russian people still proudly will uphold the Alpha Helix Accord and continue the policy of open arms to the world in trade, communication, and diplomacy.

The Russian officials were also pleased to announce that the peoples of Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka are now, once again, independent and sovereign nations. The protection of these nations will be their own with the option to activate their new MDP with the Russian Federation and the USSR. Their desire for neutrality has been requested and approved by the Asian leaders. Additionally, the governments in exile including royal families are welcomed back to their homelands to help organize the distribution of 100 billion dollars per nation to rebuild infrastructure and defense forces now that their occupation is over.
