Rules
Your military is as big as a nation of your size should be. For example a larger nation has more people, and therefore a larger military but it most likely more corrupt and unwieldy than a small efficient nation.
Invasions:
If I decided to invade on for example Penguville, I have to declare war on pengu and then move my troops.
Required: Invasion Strategy, number of troops, and cities being attacked
Either way you can only RP ONE TURN as the aggressor. The defenders (if it is PvP) or any player (if it is PvNPC) have to roleplay the defense. Once they, or any allies, make a post you are free to start the next phase. (Therefore depending on the activity, a war can take a few weeks or multiple months)
If my invasion of Hamland is successful, as I invaded with my entire military (I stated as such, and shown total forces) and I occupy all of Hamland (The leader agrees to this in RP basically by RPing his defeat) then he can start a resistance. If my invasion if not successful then obviously my pride, military and economy is weakened.
To RP everyone must have a basic Factbook with their country name, where it is and a leader. Also important is military forces and positions and population for drafts. I will upload a map were you can choose a piece of land and put you're name on it. If a nation the size of russia exsist, and you are luxemburg, it isn't possible to have 2x the population and army as russia, it's just unrealistic. So military forces and population should be appropriate or they will be changed by the admin.
Economics:
Obviously this is exactly the same as military. A giant economic power is stronger than a small, divided nation suffering a civil war. A defeated nation paying reparations after a military loss is not as strong as it was pre-war. etc.
Fairness:
If I am Sphenisca with enormous territory and military; obviously I will have some handicaps: My military is divided between navy, army, and air force working against each other sometimes. Government may coup or be corrupt, military leaders may act arrogant and reckless, economy may be crippled due to excessive military. To make money we exploit our conquered territory, therefore another admin, or an approved intervention (aka. supporting rebels) may RP a minor revolt in my countries conquered territory. IE. anyone can intervene if approved, and he would not need to ask for permission to have minor revolts or sabotage in my country to slow me down however he would need permission for a large secessionist movement. If he has intervened I can then counter his interventions, and if approved, use that as a CB to invade his nation. The more power one has, the more difficult it will be.
If Penguville tries to subjugate Vietnam (if approved), then all others can form a coalition against Penguville; also the admins/moderators can join the coalition. So basically the only rule is to be intelligent. It is not fun if someone is just invading with a huge army and if they don't RP then they will be kicked out and their nation become neutral/inactive. you will notice on the NationStates RP there are basically no rules; I want to emulate that with the exception of having to moderate RP and wars.
Civil wars, coups, Economics, Technology, News are all your realm and don't need to be approved.
Technology:
I am going to be lenient with this and allow all forms of technology except space ships.
If you want laser rifles then go ahead but you will have handicaps placed against your nation. If Penguville wants to be ROTTK then they very well can but also will have the ability to have magic or heroes to give them an advantage. I don't want to stifle anyone's creativity so all range of tech will be allowed besides ultra modern weapons like spaceships. IF you decide to have a space programm, you can't get with the first mission on the moon. You'd have to start realistic, like a comsatelite.
Nukes will be voted on if they are realistic or not, so if you are Vatican city, you can't have nukes)
It is up to the victim to decide if he gets nuked. Likewise all other huge attacks you can only do so in stages:
Actions:
Preparation > Action > Conclusion
So therefore, prepare for the attack, then initiation and start of the attack, then the conclusion.
So specifically the preparation would be fueling the planes, declaring war, soldiers being notified, ships moving into position etc.
Initiation would be aircraft deploying, ships preparing to blockade, war in it's second day or six hours later etc, maybe a few shots fired but not much.
Conclusion would be the the final act of the first turn, therefore you have countered the defense of Hamland, and tried to invade. So My preparation was met by Hamland preparing to defend, then my initiation was met by SSRs counter, the conclusion is my counter to his defense.
This is just an example and all wars don't need to follow this but it just has to be fair and provide the other with an opportunity to RP as well. It makes sense. You cant invade a nation without them knowing it.
Anyways, that is all for now, just a heads up, these things are indefinite and never end. You don't need to RP your PnW nation, you can RP anybody you want that is not already claimed. You don't need to be involved in wars if you don't want to as well. I will create a world map, and war thread to suggest wars. You are all allowed to create your own more specific maps, or tactics war maps as well and this is encouraged!

I forgot to mention that you choose 1 nation to start off with (population can be changed, so long as it isn't unrealistic with size.
Russia, USA, China, and Canada are split up
Russia has become:
USA is:
China is just East and West China

- It would be good if you could have a map with some sort of denotation of where you are attacking, but that is not necessary by a mie
