What's your favorite book?

Mine would be a toss up between Beowulf, Macbeth, and Where the red fern grows.

Dies the Fire by S.M. Stirling

Great sci-fi and alternative history novel that really makes you wonder about human psychology and who people really are

I hope all of you avid readers out there will check it out, here

Actually Playboy has really good articles. Better than say, Reader's Digest.
Now they're putting clothes back on to make it more risque. So now people actually read it for the articles.

We read Macbeth in College English a couple weeks ago. I had to record myself performing two parts: Banquo's ghost scene and Macbeth's death scene.

I don't have a favorite but one of the books I'm reading now is really great:

My reading list is really long but I'll give you the list:

The Great Gatsby - F Scott Fitzgerald

A Doubter's Almanac - Ethan Canin

The Sun Also Rises - Ernest Hemingway

The Divine Comedies - Dante

and Hamlet - Shakespeare

That isn't all but those are the highlights

So many people in here are making it sound like the only books they've ever read are the ones they were forced to in high school...

I mainly like Sci-Fi, I'll second Japan77 and pick The Foundation Trilogy. Revelation Space also ranks pretty high on my list.

I also like fantasy but I haven't read enough to really pick a favorite. I know a few people here are fans of a series called the Swornbright Archons or something like that. I think the first book is called The Wave Kings, it might be worth checking out.
