Actually no. If you do nothing then you are not a killer, because to kill you need to be active. You'd just be  person that didn't save the baby.

Is it better to end a life that hasn't even begun? Or is it better to end lives that have been led astray?

Personally, the choice is obvious. I'd save the infant and see how their life grows. I'll only ever regret my decision if that infant turns out the same as the convicts.

Pretty much this. A live of an undetermined future has more value to me than those committed those sorts of crimes.

I would let the infant die and let the 5 convicts live. I believe in God the Lord our Father and if the 5 convicts died they would most likely go to hell, but by me letting them live I am giving them the chance to change that. Now if the baby died which I would let it, it would go to heaven for it has not sinned.

No, because original sin will send it to hell.  We are all going to hell anyway if you use religious standards, so either way, there isn't much of a difference.  The five convicts have more of a chance to have the most offspring, so religously, that would be the best choice.

Wow, I have so much to disagree with, it is sad.  I would let the baby die.  Both choices are equally bad, therefore the choice that requires the least effort is the way I would go.

Saving a baby (human) and approving abortions (bunch of cells) are not equal value. There's generally  a point agreed on the number of weeks how far the pregnancy is to define a bunch of cells as a human in development. Otherwise the logic would say ejaculation for men would cause a death of millions on children. Because you know, sperms are also cells capable of developing into a human that end up dead.

That's why I referred to the collision of choice. If in a situation as such, you must choose the path of least destruction and that is by doing nothing that would lead to a loss of life from your actions. So you'll try to save the baby. 

Besides in a situation such as this how would you know that the five other guys are horrible people?
