I played jazz vibraphone in College but can also play most percussion instruments decently. I also played cello for a while but never got into it like I did with Percussion. If any other percussionists are here I would always like to talk about mallet instruments/snare and the different techniques you prefer (when it comes to mallets Stevens grip is my choice over Burton).

i used to play the guitar 3 years ago, but then i started to focus more on chess than playing the guitar. i still know some of the chords tho

Trying to teach myself guitar, and played drums ~25yrs ago.  Given the horribly discordant twanging sounds I’m making presently, I’d be stretching the truth to say I ‘play’.

I played violin in elementary school and French horn/mellophone, tuba/sousaphone, and trombone at various points in high school during concert, jazz, and marching band. Don't play anything anymore, sadly.

I too was in a marching band playing the snare drum while in the Air Force cadets fond memories indeed
