The part of the constitution of the United States that guarantees freedom of speech is means the government isn't allowed to restrict your freedom of speech unnecessarily. It's the same skewd logic people use when someone disagrees with them. "But what about my right to free speech?" is not a valid argument if you're insulting a private individual.
