AMD is way ahead of Intel, also the apple cpu's are still lacking imo.

I’m not a CPU expert. I know how to use them. Not how to make them. I’ve heard that Intel was once on top but then just couldn’t keep up and AMD took over and is now way better than Intel. I think Apple’s M1s are built upon AMD’s CPUs, but don’t quote me. I just know…

I had an AMD cpu and gpu in my old setup but now I'm running a laptop with an i7 but from what I've heard AMD is currently on the cutting edge as far as cpus

In a purely binary poll like this, I have to go with AMD. That said I'm actually very impressed with Apple's ARM chips. Only a matter of time until other OEMs start ditching Intel and AMD.

It'll always be a point of contention, but I've personally had 6 builds now. My first three were all AMD and all three of them had issues with drivers, heating, lifespan and general support. That put me off the company, maybe it'll change in the future but unlikely. 

I'm on my third Intel build, i5 4690k > i7 6900k > i9 9900k. I've had zero issues with any support, maintenance or general usage from them. Money isn't an issue and although it may be slightly more expensive I'm happy with the results.

64gb DDR4 3200mhz  Corsair vengeance 
512gb Samsung M.2

3tb HDD

Gigabyte 3080 triple fan cooled.
