There's a thread to post your Discord info somewhere, but it's not super active. We mainly use Slack and the forum.

As soon as you finished your application you will get accepted into the alliance you would be given an invitation link to join Slack.

These types of games used to solely use IRC. That trend started to die off around late 2016.
Though I still do miss launching mIRC. I still have my lifetime key
