You have to stay in the general area and you can take anything that you can carry

Indonesia is a pretty big place, so I'd think I could avoid the direct effects of the eruption for a hundred billion.  But I guess my decision would depend on if I got the money before or after.  I definitely wouldn't want a hundred billion dollars during the french revolution.  But if I am poor, I also think I could handle that

Honestly the only choice for anyone would be the French Revolution. Plagues would get us since we probably have no antibodies to anything from those time periods. Volcanos would kill you from well lava. So basically it leaves French Revolution sadly all of us would probably be considered as a royal because of teeth, appearance ect. You may get lucky in that one though.

Basically you still have to deal with whatever is happening like most of them will be the city and the surrounding suburbs while others like Indonesia and Italy will be the country cause the event affected the country as a whole
