That's right folks, it's that time of the year again where we celebrate our ass off for that magnificent, liberty loving land of the free that is called America. Shooting fireworks in the sky, getting drunk, and shooting guns into the air (if that's your thing)

So with that being said, a couple of questions to make the thread more interesting:

  • For American: how are you celebrating this beautiful day? Did anything special for this year?
  • For non-America: How do you feel about Independence Day celebration?

For American: how are you celebrating this beautiful day? Did anything special for this year?
Nothing special this year.  Pretty typical...  I drove to my in-laws earlier this afternoon where my father-in-law built my kids a pretty sweet double decker tree house and they played in it the majority of the day.  I cooked a bunch of food along with my father in law while my wife and mother-in-law prepped the side dishes and then we feasted.  Burgers, Brats, fruits and veggies, beans, potato chips, potato salad crap I don't like, and drinks of your choice (lots of waters - it was a hotter day today)...  about twenty folks, so it was a grand time.

Then after that, many played cards, some went and sat on the porch, while I elected to rest... so I laid down on the couch in the living room and when I woke up there were 5 other people ALSO taking naps in the living room floor, chairs, or other coach.

Drove home as the sun went down and watched fireworks out every window.  I had to repeatedly tell my kids to stop yelling because they were so excited to see all the fireworks...  got home to do a little work / e-mails, play some OBL, read the forums, and set some more trades in the P&W market.  Typical evening conclusion.

For non-America: How do you feel about Independence Day celebration?

I have no particular feelings towards Independence Day. There's really just a lack of interest. It's one of the holidays that hasn't made it to Germany (for obvious reasons because why should we celebrate American independence or reflect on it?) and there's hardly an reception of the event in the media. I actually read nothing this year.

I think I should've specified Independence day as in the celebration and not the movie/some guy/whatever

but ehhh, whatever. Post and/or shitpost whatever here. Will give out PnW money based on how much Freedom is in said post
