Alright, so this came a bit earlier than expected, but I'm a little worried about the state of P&W.
Alex has been going a bit crazy with the updates. Nerfing one thing after another, tweaking game balance to favor the people he wants to win. It seemed to really escalate after I quit. It ruins the fun of the game quite a bit of you work hard to accomplish something and have it taken away.
Morale has dropped quite a bit and I'm worried it'll go below the critical mass needed to keep people in the game.
So might be a good time to explore something new. There's plenty of MMOs out there.
Doesn't have to be a nation building game, although the community is obviously interested in Paradox games.
I did a bit of experimenting with some others. Looks like we're more into persistent games, something where people spend a lot of time building something and have other people try to tear it down.
It'll likely be semi-idle too, meaning that it's not like RuneScape where you only progress by clicking stuff. We prefer to log in regularly, but not have to grind so much.
So Runescape is out. Along with things like Clash of Clans. Too much effort. Something like Travian is not bad, but the pace and workload is too high.
There's always been other games on and off. Anyone else find something they're happy with?
