DIKPIC Weekly: Valentine's Day Edition

Welcome back again to yet another DIKPIC  discussion thread. Today being DIKPIC Weekly: Valentine's edition!

Love is in the air, people are either preparing to seek out their soulmate, or shutting themselves indoor to avoid the harsh reality called love.

That's right, Valentine's Day will soon be here!

Which brings us to this week's discussion topic. What are you planning to do on the upcoming Valentine's Day? Alternatively, do you have any Valentine or love related stories you are willing to share? Just remember that in the spirit of DIKPIC weekly, all answers are accepted no matter how sad/silly/absurd it is.

 
I am buying my wife a dozen red roses, her favorite dark chocolates, and a few pairs of really nice fancy warm socks (it gets really really cold here and she says her toes are always cold).  I plan on putting them on our kitchen island on Tuesday morning when I leave for work along with a hand written note telling her how much I appreciate her and the things she does.

same thing I have done for every valentines day since I was old enough to remember... nothing special. it's just another over commercialized way to part the fool and their money

Personally I say Bah Humbug to ALL "holidays" :)

V-Day feels artificial. It's more like "pay attention to your neglected significant other day". (not salty)

 
I haven't had a gf in a long time , idk if I am ready, last time I was an idiot brat and broke her heart, I still can't look at her face, but she seems to have no remorse, but she might be planning vengeance.

Welcome to Valentine's day! I'm pretty sure at this point, all holidays have already lost their original meaning

I went with an orchid.  It's hidden in a window box she never looks in so I should be safe...  will put it out on Tuesday!

Well fuck me.  I guess I fell for it.  But... she has come to expect it, anything less than the best and she would be disappointed and I hope to keep my "points" up...
