Pretty sure Blackie became a gambling addict now despite the fact that the two games have a negative expected value ¬¬

One of our members actually gambled up to 15m from 5m or so, then to 90m....then lost it all same day cuz uh........yeah =_=

next day they did it again and went to 30m, bought 9th city after we gave 'em hell for the 90m loss >____________>

For me at least, i think i should buy my next city and repay the aid tree debt to IC before i do any gambling

Both games take 15% of what you give them on average. Crap odds.

If they were extremely close to 50/50, like a roulette wheel, I might give them a go.

Yes I did! If I am too young to gamble in real life then I will gamble my nations taxes away here.

You know you could gamble that money at the Keno and if you win then you could pay that debt back sooner then you thought.

I'm happy gambling with commodities trading! At least the odds are in my favor.

This one is basically an IQ test. We should probably have to blacklist any gamblers from getting any kind of aid.

You shell never put me on the blacklist for aid. NEVER!

I second this, negative expected value means you're a fool to use it.

ikr... UGH.

I'm against it because the war system / resource system has major flaws that need addressing, Sheepy has better things to do than waste time on things like this.

Eh as a programmer, I don't think it's wasted time. Sometimes he does these things because he feels like it and a successful implementation motivates him to tackle harder problems. This was clearly a light, just-for-fun update. Nobody actually complained that the forms were boring and old-fashioned, but Sheepy just felt like doing it.

Without momentum it ends up like CN/Project Terra :P

Luckily i always get denied aid, and yesterday i played keno and got up to 20 mill and lost it :(

You can't actually be ahead. Like you can gamble $1M and have $1.5M. That puts you ahead. But there's always a bit more to go.

If you're making 20M why not keep going until 22M? If you're at 200M, why not stop at 201M?

Sometimes you start on 1M and lose it all immediately.

The nature of gambling means that you always run your luck dry.
