Yes, I often pick mushrooms and I live in Antarctica.

Apart from shiitake, matsutake and champignons, I'm not much of a mushroom fan. Haven't searched for any myself.

Yup. I love chanterelle. Although saffron milk cap are more common in my region. Also have stumbled on some giant parasol mushrooms. They too were delicious.
