There were always Halloween specials on TV back when I was a kid. I guess it's not as festive now that we don't watch TV as much.

Drinking heavily is an ancient English tradition to be done at the end of every event that can be considered remotely celebratory, even some that aren't! I plan on keeping that tradition alive
