What are flip flops going to do if it's cold? It's not like they are going to keep your feet warm, that's in my experience at least.

They stop me from having to touch the cold floor, which makes my feet cold, and are easier to take on and off 

Better phrased, socks and slippers if my feet are already cold, flip flops if they're not cold and I want to keep them that way lol.
