I personally find Christmas eve to be with extended family while Christmas day is just me and my little gem. So Christmas day is a little less eventful. Plus Christmas eve is midnight mass.

Busiest is christmas eve. Loudest, is new years. Personally handling fireworks has been banned (on account of how many get injured every year due to stupidity and carelessness and sometimes outright bad luck) so people instead rev the loudest engines they can get their hands on. That means motorcycles rampaging on our streets right outside our house right when I try to go to sleep.
