For me, I can speak English (bruh), I'm somewhat fluent enough to understand simple conversations in French, and I understand Tagalog (language of the Philippines). I'm currently studying German at my high school.

Typical American here...  just English.

However, at different parts of my life I have known a good amount of Brazilian Portuguese (no, I can't talk to koso and tell him to let us have some market tips), Spanish (took in HS and in passing over the last 3 years in my work setting), and Arabic (for when I went overseas to Iraq and conversed with Iraqi POWs in 2003).  Today the language I know best other than English is Spanish and only because I converse with manufacturing teams that I oversee in a Mexican maquilladora... my language retention on Arabic and Portuguese has been very poor considering I never use these other languages.
