it seems you are in 1 of two groups when addressing pics like this

group 1 : thats just a few bad apples, not all cops are like that most cops are good

group 2: cops are all thugs, aint a one of them any good

to those in group 1, what do you say that good cops wouldnt let bad cops like these pictured anywhere near a badge? (hint, they dont stop them they let them do shit like this so they are no better than the offenders

to those in group 2: what would you say that there ARE good cops but they "fear for their lives" if they speak out against the bad cops

:)

American police looks strange to us, too much power, unpunished in front of serious mistakes, too violent, unwilling to talk (this is what reaches us through the media)

But criminals looks also too violent and unwilling to talk so I guess it's in part justified, see Chris Rock

Tell me your experiences with the police, for me zero, I see carabinieri supervise children when they leave school and sometimes I see their cars patrolling the streets, that's all.

Myself personally, I don't blame the cops, the police departments, or the criminals... I blame the police unions, who ensure that bad cops like the ones pictured, abusing their positions of authority and mocking the laws they are charged with enforcing; are kept on the job. ANY time one of these bad cops jobs is under threat they run to the union rep who use whatever means is necessary, to ensure the bad cop (who should NEVER be allowed anywhere NEAR a gun) are kept in their jobs as cops.

Just curious. Has anyone ever been to a school in the US where a police officer usual attends (by attend, I mean guarding and stuff) the school fully armed? I've never been to one but surely there must be a school somewhere that does.

Dunno what you mean by fully armed, but my school has 2 or 3 cops on campus at all times and they are armed. Also, my general opinion on the US cop situation is that they are overarmed and undertrained, and too many abuses of power.

US cops sound terrible. The cops here are really nice. They even give you discounts if you pay parking fines really fast. Like instead of paying a $300 fine, you can pay $50 directly to the cop or give your phone number.

And there was this one time a cop shot me but he was very merciful in that he used bean bags instead of shells.

was that like, "and this one time... at band camp..." ?

I come from a different generation and it's hard sometimes for me to wrap my head around how schools went from places of learning and social interation to places resembling prisons, with armed cops, metal detectors, students walking around in fear of their overlords etc

and ya, police training her in the states at least trains cops WAY wrong these days.... I see TOO many reports of cops being trained to act like a military occupying army and to treat everyone as an enemy combatant.... add to that the weapons of war that most every cop nowadays has and you have a recipe for disaster

I support the blue fully although some can get a little big headed usually sheriffs deputies
