I just watched it, didn't know how much I'd be able to get into a movie about the finance industry. That being said, it was probably the best movie I've seen this year. At the same time, I came out of it bitter and jaded about the finance industry as a whole. Has anyone else watched the movie/have any thoughts?

The film didn't surprise me at all, after seeing Inside Job and reading the articles on Rolling Stone by Matt Taibbi I pretty much knew it all (that I can comprehend that is) but it is certainly a good entry in informing the public what a cancer the banks are to not just the USA but the world at large.  Movie was able to keep a dry subject interesting, fantastic acting and fine directing made this certainly a film that I enjoyed (even if it didn't make my Top 10 Films of last year).

My only complaint really is the Steve Carrell character, I found him to be rather over the top at times with his outrage at what the banks are doing.  I feel he was supposed to represent the audience in his disgust.

Just saw a preview for this the other day when i rented Daddy's Home. I was wondering if it was any good. Never even heard of it until then either, go figure. Movies like this that serve to inform the public rarely get the proper promotion it deserves while crap like the new ninja turtles will be everywhere.

It was a smaller release certainly but it did get a few Oscar nominations so it has got some recognition. :)
