The largest company in Africa announced plans to increase investment to desalination plants along the coast of Algeria. The company operates as the country's largest company and one of the largest consortiums in the world that controlled some of the largest pipelines operating on the African continent. Furthermore, its increased investments in hydrocarbons has come as a result of a government initiative that seeks to diversify the energy needs of Algeria. It is speculated that foreign governments, Russia in particular, has been in talks with the government regarding the sale of petrol and crude oil. In recent years, the company has opened up to foreign investment and joint ventures with international oil giants to aid in oil exploitation and creation of new pipelines.

TGR would like to share some of its research it has been doing in the desalinization to not only desalinize salt water but to also turn the residual brine left over into medical grade saline.

The Algerian government released a statement thanking private and foreign investors for their aid in efforts to increase the use of drinkable water in Algeria and the North African region. It has announced that it is in talks with the TGR and Russia on increasing funding and research into more efficient methods and new technology to enhance current processes. Cooperation between Egypt and Algeria is said to be in the works alongside Tunisia and Libya in what may amount to a joint North African venture in increasing these countries' access to local water sources and rely less upon imports.

The Grand Ottoman Empire would like to congratulate the government of Algeria for striving to make itself a greater country and bettering the lives of Algerian citizens. We are pleased to see a fellow proud Islamic nation performing so admirably on the world stage.

Signed

Foreign Minister Tolan
