This is the same question used in the 2014 referendum in Scotland.

They were told they wouldn't be allowed to join the EU if they voted leave last time, the same tactic Spain used against Catalonia. Now that the UK is leaving the EU I would imagine Scottish independence would win out in a new referendum.
Well, Texas has been trying to secede for the long and they technically are able to legally because it 2was written into their state constitution before they joined the Union. Also, California is trying to do a Calexit. There are people who wouldn't mind if either one of them seceded for various political reasons.Just out to the Americans here, would you feel the same way about a state exiting the union?
Scotland had their vote, they voted to stay. Can't keep having votes as soon as you think you can win again, that's just playing into simple populism.
