They were forced to cede territories, lost a port (Hanko, replaced by Porkkala) to russian occupation for 13 years and they finished paying reparations to the aggressor worth US$300,000,000 at 1938 prices. They got off better, but in my book it's still fucked up.

I agree that ISIS is beyond terrible, but the price in terms of collateral damage is too high and I'm not convinced that the attacks are really effective at all.

Also agreed that ISIS is beyond terrible. But a large part of their propaganda are things like 'foreign aggression'. Every dead civilian brings converts a scared little girl into a very angry militant.
