watched 2 or 3 episodes of opera winfrey 

but ever been to that opera where they shout very loud

I listened to Bellini's Norma a few months ago in a concert hall. It was by far the best experience that I ever had in a concert setting. I highly recommend anyone to at least give some operatic arias a go before dismissing this artform!

Never been to the opera but I’ve been to the ballet a few times and was actually in the cast of The Nutcracker once as a kid.

I'm one of those people who can't really be in large groups of people.  Never been to an Opera, or similar events because of i.  Also no the biggest fan of operas, so I'm pretty sure I'm not missing much. XD
