I can't see VR doing that. You'd need to buy individual VRs for each person to watch the same thing instead of a normal screen where everyone can look at.

AR is meant to integrate with your daily like, so just like a phone, I can see everyone having it. I don't know though if AR would replace TVs and computer monitors. Depends how good the image is for certain things.

AR, if they can get it into a contact lens or even just normal glasses, could totally replace phones. VR has a few more hurdles to jump. It's not going to get far as long as it's a nausea-inducing toaster strapped to your face.

As for predicting what will happen in a few decades, technology's moving way too fast now as it is. We might be on the cusp of superintelligent robots really soon. When those come around, all bets are off.
