We need a general age limit for elected officials in our country. We have a bottom floor function for most roles, it wouldn’t be that hard to add a top ceiling too.

I wouldn’t exactly be opposed to this. I wouldn’t want a system where that age limit is being moved up and down to try and get the next old hag kicked off in certain years. Maybe something where they need to do a cognitive test or something would be better?

In my country, Supreme Court justices have one single term of twelve years and that is it.

The decision has nothing to do with if abortion is right or wrong.  It is about if banning is against existing law, including the constitution.  It is not the Supreme courts job or within its power to make law.  That is the legislatures job.

It would be risky to set up a system where politicians can remove judges if they don't like them
