I like going to the beach best at night when few others are around and it's cooler outside and to just watch the waves and listen. It's super relaxing.

Plus, sometimes you get to see some pretty cool stuff. Like I once saw a sea turtle come up to lay her eggs. Turned out to be a false crawl, which I was a bit thankful for as I was in direct sand throwing range of her but didn't want to move and scare her off. Might have anyway, I'll never know if I was the reason she left or not.

Cold waters, rough conditions, and deadly rip currents are just part of the reason you really, really should not try to swim in the Pacific off the Oregon coast. The ocean on this coast is always freezing cold: always about 55 degrees or so. Sometimes much colder in winter.

That is just under 13 C.

Swimming and long solo walks as far as my leave pass allows.  Company just spoils a beach visit imo
