What's convinced me it's more likely that we live in a simulation than not is the fact that there's a speed of light, planck lengths and times, and the fact photons behave like waves despite not having any other photons nearby. These are all pretty similar to performance preserving measures in actual simulations. (Reducing resolution, setting hard limits, and making assumptions.)I could go either way, if we are are sim it would explain like why we need sleep (reboots) and like why we cant seem to find other meaningful lifeforms, but who knows maybe this is real and life just sucks to suck.
