Do wish he has provided some notice and done so between wars. Or at least given a week heads up or something since that would allow for a new round of wars.

tbf a lot of them declared on HoF and Arrgh members with zero mil, and sat there doing nothing. That is 100% beige baiting and iirc it's against the rules. Could be wrong about that tho, since if i recall the official reason was slot filling.

People have hit raiders to bait beige since antiquity in this game, nothing new there. The only distinction between what is allowed and what isn’t allowed is whether or not you suicide 20k soldiers into their tanks. It’s an entirely arbitrary policy with shoddy enforcement.

well, then alex should've 100% given warning. this is stupid. I thought beige baiting was against the rules, but turns out i was wrong.

 
What the majority of the nations did WAS against the rules as far as I could see. No need for warnings.

"Declaring war on a nation without the intention of fighting them is punishable by a nation strike and additional punishment for multiple violations."

There's an easy workaround but they couldn't even be bothered to do anything.

I've not been around long so don't know the history of warfare in this game and how prevalent what rose have done has been. In regards to Alex taking action now; I do know that the best time to plant a tree is 10 years ago, the second best time is now.

There's no precedent being set because it's already been set long ago. It doesn't change anything for anyone. Just actually put effort into fighting your wars and you'll be fine. Rose and t$ and co should have known exactly how to avoid issues.

That's not to say I don't think it's a dumb rule that doesn't really address what he wants it to but it's not a mystery how he moderates this. He's moderated it like this for years.

So they "deserved" it (don't really like that word for this) because they should have known those wars would be considered slotfilling but it's a dumb application in these instances as it isn't actually slotfilling from what I've seen, in that it's not declaring wars with the intent of blocking others from those slots and minimizing those peoples' damage. But again, it's nothing new. Alex doesn't factor politics into his moderation, he bases it off the individual wars.

I for one enjoyed how Ro$e shifted in the discussion on the forum from "This has never happened and it sets a bad precedent" to "This was done in NPOLT already but that doesn't count"

honestly, them not soldier suiciding is like.... just them being lazy and stupid.
