I like decimals but the issue is I once had to write pi as an answer in high school and I’m still not finished.

When writing I prefer decimals.  When speaking I prefer fractions.  Like at work, interest rates are written in decimals, but I say them in fractions.  Like .125 is an eighth

Depends but generally decimals. Exceptions being 1/2, 1/4 type of thing, particularly with cooking.
