tiny bit but I do something much worse IMO. I pick at my skin near the nails. This can often lead to bleeding.

I need to stop but easier said than done and I've done it for forever

I once sliced my kid's finger by mistake cutting his nails with a nail clipper when he was like 3 months old so for the next year I just cut his nails by biting them because I was scared to use the clippers again lol. I eventually got over it.

And by "I eventually got over it" what I really mean is I just make my wife do it now.

I do the same. It's gotten better and I don't do it nearly as bad now but still do occasionally.
