Of course. My current job pays so little I have to rent a house with three other people. If I made 10x as much, I could probably get away with two others.

I am in my job because it is a good work-life balance.  I am certainly not taking a job that is so toxic they need to pay 10x the going rate to get someone in the door.

If there was no way to find out any information about the job beforehand that's a hard no. If I could get some info I'd definitely pursue it.
