You are found dead in the middle of your living room floor.  The only clues are a locked front door, a whistling tea kettle on the stove, a bloody knife next to your lifeless corpse, and a business card with a pink lipstick kiss on the back.  You can't stop it from happening, there is no time loop to reverse your tragic fate, all you can do now is to choose which inspector from literary fiction you would prefer to investigate your alleged murder.

Whom do you choose?

Lord Peter Wimsey is going to be my choice since he solves mysteries for his own amusement.

Well, since I'm already dead I would like the person investigating my death to have fun while doing it, his connections with Scotland yard would most certainly come in use not to mention his capabilities around the opposite gender which  would help out since the killer is most certainly a female judging by the mere presence of that business card with pink lipstick.

I have to add that even though I enjoyed many of Agatha Christie's books (and I still have many of them here), I actually hate the way she portrays women of different ages, how she tends to generalize a lot, how she uses stereotypes and how much of that entitlement towards colonialism is still reflected in her books.

Mr. Poirot was a killer himself so to the people voting for him what guarantees you that he didn't kill you?
Poirot killed only because his victim was a murderer himself whose crimes he wasn't able to proof. He only killed Stephen Norton to protect other people.
