Sino Republic

The Ottoman Empire would like to discuss terms with the venerable leaders of the nations of Russia, The Sino Republic and India.

Ottoman sovereignty has been challenged by the European Federation in Cyprus. Under the guise of a united Europe, Greek Nationalists have appealed to the EF to remove us from the North of Cyprus. This is an outrage. We see Cyprus as our birthright and a key part of our Empire. We fear the reprisals against ethnic Turkish Cypriots if the Island is taken. We refuse to withdraw our military from the area.

We sent our Ambassador to Cyprus to speak with EF Delegates 1 week ago, however he has not reported back to us since arriving in Athens. We fear he may have been taken hostage. This is a diplomatic outrage with surely requires the international condemnation from the major world alliances. We must re-iterate that we wish to resolve matters diplomatically. We have a strong military, but the combined power of the EF means that currently we have too few bargaining tools. Therefore, we appeal to your great nations for diplomatic aid.

The Ottoman Empire remains the great bastion between East and West, it would be surely beneficial to secure the region to prevent European Expansion. Also, be sure that we do not offer nothing in return.

To Russia:

  • We will open up the Black Sea to the Mediterranean at Istanbul to give unilateral access to your ships, military and merchant. We shall drop toll and tariff prices from 3% to 0.5% for all your ships, creating a thriving economic trade route to the Crimea.
  • Should Russia seek to expand into the upper Middle East, The Ottoman Empire shall support it both diplomatically & militarily.
  • Open up a military base in Northern Cyprus (Limited to 5000 Ground Forces, small aircraft and Armour but with missile capabilities)
  • We would like a beneficial trade deal with oil. Terms can be arranged.
  • To support our Nuclear program. The Ottoman Empire reiterates that is does not wish to create Nuclear Weaponary.

To India:

  • We openly support Indian expansion and acknowledge it's sovereignty in Bhutan.
  • We support Indian expansionism in the South Asian sphere, provided that it does not try to quell the influence of Islam.
  • We would like a beneficial trade deal with oil. Terms can be arranged.
  • To support our Nuclear program. The Ottoman Empire reiterates that is does not wish to create Nuclear Weaponary.
  • We are open to outsourcing Turkish military and economic projects to your country.

To Sino Republic:

  • We would reduce the tariff on imported goods from the Sino Republic.
  • Offer our counter-terrorism Special Forces (1000 men) to assist in suppressing Mongolian rebels.
  • To support our Nuclear program. The Ottoman Empire reiterates that is does not wish to create Nuclear Weaponary.
  • We are open to outsourcing Turkish military and economic projects to your country.

We look forward to your combined co-operation on this matter.

Signed

President Erdogan

Results of Actions:

Should Cyprus be allowed to fall diplomatically, Turkish Nationalism will rocket, with country becoming more insular. Ottoman Empire will place heavy embargoes on EF member nations. National service will be re-introduced and military spending will rapidly increase. The Ottoman Empire will look to replace Cyprus with targets such as Armenia, Syria, Jordan & Iraq. Reprisals by the Greek Cypriots against Turkish Cypriots will lead to a short civil war and with some ethnic cleansing, with many Turkish Cypriots repatriating to the mainland after the governemtn passes The Repatriation Act.

If Russia fails to aid The Ottoman Empire, it will close the strait of Istanbul to Russian ships, leading to economic stagnation in the Crimea and trapping the Russian Black Sea Fleet. The Ottoman Empire will secretly fund Georgian rebels against Russia.

If India fails to aid The Ottoman Empire, it will actively oppose Indian expansionism in Asia, and make it illegal to outsource projects to the any member of the Indian alliance. It will not recognize India in Bhutan.

If Sino Republic fails to aid The Ottoman Empire, it will not recognize Sino claims to Mongolia. Tariffs on imported Sino goods will skyrocket.

Should the Cypriot matter be solved diplomatically in Ottoman favor, they will do everything pledged above. They will cool fiery relations with the EF and not move away from Europe. National service will not be re-introduced. Turkish pride and nationalism will soar, but interest in military expansion in the Middle East will cool off - for now. Greek Nationalism will decrease in the mainland but rise in Cyprus.

Should the Cypriot matter be solved militarily in Ottoman favor, they will be forever bound to the nations that assisted them. Should the Cypriot matter fall in favor of the EF militarily, President Erdogan will see his popularity fall and have to renounce Ottoman sovereignty to the island. Support for incarcerated Prime Minister Yilmaz will increase in mainland Turkey. It will not be possible to repatriate Turkish Cypriots, prolonging a civil war and exacerbating ethnic cleansing.

India have no problem to support Ottoman Empire but for FA works we generaly take actions after talking with our allies so after we discuss the matter with our allies we will return to you.

Thank You,
Bhuto

The Grand Ottoman Empire appreciates the response of India, and we understand that delicate issues abroad require co-operation, planning and understanding.

We hope to work alongside the great nation of India on this issue in the future.

Selcuk Bohan

Minister of Foreign Affairs

The Grand Ottoman Empire is eternally grateful for the support shown by the Sino Republic.

The Ottoman ambassador at our Beijing embassy, Yacup Beg, will meet with Sino officials to discuss economic & military projects. Several key arms traders have shown an interest in purchasing older-grade Sino tanks in bulk.

Commander Helgut Moran is preparing his Special Forces for counter terrorism measures in Mongolia, as agreed.

Minister for Foreign Affairs

Selcuk Bohan

@Priydan
As of right now, the Russian leaders would like to inform the nation of Turkey that the threats to Russian, CIS stability, and the Aplha Helix Accord member-nations are not taken lightly.

We will not bend to your fear-mongering because the Russian Navy has never asked for nor required the permission of the Turkish government to utilize the Bosporus Strait. Should the issue of these threats not be resolved with a formally apology to all members of the Alpha Helix Accord in a new public thread, then we in the Russian government are sure the European Federation would not oppose the occupation of Istanbul by the Russian Armed Forces.

The Grand Ottoman Empire seeks only to align itself with the great nation of Russia, who we see as a natural ally. The great Nations of India & Sino Republic have agreed to work alongside us on this matter. We however have made no threats and would never seek to jeopardize our relationship with Russia.(note: those are merely conditions of the actions of everyone role playing - they are not part of the official message and therefore are not a threat and not public knowledge - to make it more interesting!)

Signed

President Erdogan

The conditions under which the nation of Turkey is requesting cooperation with the Russian government are inherently threatening and the notion that rejecting a request may incite a funded rebellion or military provocation against the nation of Russia makes this a threat, even if indirect. Such weighted and subtle statements against the Russian government does not resonate well with the Russian people.

Perhaps further discussions of this sort should be conducted through ambassadors in the more private channels of communication. The Russian Government would be happy to communicate through the embassies in Moscow and Ankara.

*-------BREAKING NEWS-------*

Following a perceived slight against the nation of Russia, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Selcuk Bohan has been fired by President Erdogan earlier today. Erdogan is said to have been infuriated by the Foreign Minister, when leaked emails showed he would support Georgian rebels if Russia failed to act in the Cypriot Situation. Selcuk Bohan, until just recently had been lobbying for international support had been considered one of the brightest stars of Ottoman politics. Witnesses saw Bohan exiting the Government buildings in Ankara in a hurry, declining to make any statements to the waiting press - whom it is rumoured had been tipped off by Erdogan. Bohan's career is surely finished now, the world waits for President Erdogan to make a statement and name a successor. It must surely come as blow to the Grand Ottoman Empire to lose it's Foreign Minister at a time when international relations are fraught...

Ottoman Empire President Erdogan has denied making a knee-jerk reaction after he ordered the dismissal of his up and coming Minister for Foreign Affairs, saying he was acting in the interests of the Nation.

However, the Free Turkish Press press today described Erdogan's move as "reactionary", with some saying it was a blatant attempt to cosy up to "The Great Russian Bear" after a perceived slight by Minister Bohan.

"I never intended, through my decisions, to criticise the work of the government as a whole or be unjust towards Minister Bohan, but I deemed it necessary to to act so that we advance towards a better diplomatic standing in the world at large. We praise Minister Bohan for his dedication is resolving the Cyprus Crisis, however private remarks to staffers showed a blatant and dangerous disregard to building bridges with the AHA. Tonight, I have contacted our Ambassador to Moscow, Jencuk Tolan  and he has accepted the position of Foreign Minister. We hope that Mr Tolan will approach the role with the same vigour and zeal as he has in his work abroad as Ambassador, and display more tact than his predecessor" Erdogan claimed in a speech outside the government building in Ankara today.

"I wish former Minister Bohan all the best in civilian life, and again we applaud the majority of his work over the last 2 years" he said "I did not intend to shame the Foreign Ministry and their critical work, however of late I have felt a change is needed," he added, saying that he had "the interests of Ottoman sovereignty in mind".

Junior Foreign Minister Ferec Telem was also released from his role, state television announced, only hours after emails were leaked from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of  aggressive and reactionary intent towards Russia if it did not co-operate diplomatically with resolving the crisis in Northern Cyprus. The President also decided to scrap a key constitutional document which allowed the Foreign Minister to initiate talks with foreign nations without his direct consent, the government spokesperson said.

The news of Bohan's dismissal came as a surprise to many, as he was seen as one of the leading lights of the government and admired for his tenacity in defending Cyprus, and some find it alarming the speed in which President Erdogan dismissed him, with some suggesting that the President was overeaching himself and removing potential rivals.

However, thousands of pro-AHA citizens gathered outside the Government buildings to praise the President for his actions.

"The people support the President's decision," the crowd chanted "Cyprus is sovereign!", showing renewed hope that the issue will soon be resolved if Russia is brought into the fold.

A few discerning protestors made their voices heard, calling Erdogan "Tyrant!" and several crude placards depicted Erdogan in acts of submissive sexual behaviour with the Russian Foreign Minister, before being removed by armed policemen.

Former Minister Bohan is yet to make a statement and has not been seen since leaving the governemnt buildings several hours ago. The pro-Erdogan news station Channel 6 News said the following:

"President Erdogan has today showed his strength and has exercised his authority," Anchor Tey Kirkmaz said. "He has rooted out a weed that threatened to provoke The Great Bear and was a danger to national security.". Internationally the world watches will mild caution, wondering if Erdogan has simply acted in the interests of the State or is furthering his ambitions to be Dictator. It is understood that Erdogan has spoken with General Ivanov and resolved thise issue, however Moscow is still yet to publicly respond.

New foreign minister Tolan is deeply pro-Russia and a keen nationalist. He has served in Moscow admirably, however he is not held in particular high regard by other Ministers, many who felt more qualified than him in the role. Is this an attempt to cosy up to Russia? How will the rest of the world react? What has become of Minister Bohan?

Though late to the party the HRE supports the unification of Cyprus with the EF, the forces of the TGOE are a Asian power and need to stay inside it's natural borders. Cyprus is a European nation and the issue will be resolved by the European powers.

TGR disagrees. TGR sees it as unfavorable if either the EF or TGOE to take the whole of Cyprus. TGR does, however, believe that this is a European issue.

The People's Democratic Republic of Algeria supports a unified, secular Cyprus that represents the interests of both Greek and Turkish communities on the island. It is the full belief of Algeria that it is important for the future of all Cypriots that a unified country is achieved and measures are taken to represent the interests of all people on the island irrespective of the machinations and manipulations of powers who wish to support only one community over the other. President Al-Tariq urged a calm, peaceful resolution to be drawn up with international mediators.
