The shit that affects me are not the same as something that affects someone in another country half way across the world. We're just not the same, and human civilization is very regionally dependent. It's just reality. Technology might seem like it will change things but I don't think it will to the extent people who are for globalization think. That fact tat buying localally produced products affects the people that I can tangibly touch means I will psychologically feel better about it. That's how I see it.

Every region has different needs, specializations, resources, and population densities. You can't just standardize the world.

Globalisation is a Marxist communist ploy to make nations interact with eachother in a fashion that hasn't been done outside the last 50 years. The constant desensitisation to socialism, over regulation and inter continental trade is not only detrimental to the working class of "rich" countries, where men and women can't find work because work based on labor no longer exists, but also to the working class of poor countries because their wages do not allow them a comfortable living standard.

To the point, globalisation will ultimately end with unanimous regulation (similar to the EU, another communist ploy), open borders (totally communist) and the death of cultural diversity.

But think of the starving African childrens!

...who can make shoes for $1/hour.

...who would otherwise starve to death with child labor laws and local businesses who pay $1/week.

Rich first world countries get cheap shoes. Developing countries get money. It works.

Globalization is not only a good thing but it is an unstoppable force.  There is nothing you can do to stop it.  Better enjoy the ride, kids.

I am for globalization..

Easy, the reason is a certain culture could be known and popularised globally, thus rendering the culture into extinction is obsolete,

Second, it helps to develop new ideas and perspective on how we observe many things around us. For comparison,  American and Asian view is different

such that American tend to focus in individual concepts while Asian highly-regard the importance of community more than individualism..

If someone familiarize himself with many different cultures and perspective, it will make him more open to people and tolerate other people.

There are so many benefits from globalization but here i listdown a few.

Globalization encourages the specialization of different countries. IE one country specializes in finance, the other in natural resources, another in cheap manufactured goods... that can have benefits in terms of increased efficiency, but also has the downside of making nations vulnerable by being extremely dependent on each other. Although some would say this dependence encourages compromise and peace. So IDK...
