Do not comment if this is not your thread! They can be discussed in Global News!

Each Nation can claim one adjacent state per Day. Only nations with at least 1 transport ship can claim islands.

Please claim stating which unique territory code you wish to claim (or spy if you have one) and try to RP it rather than just state "a1".

The Mod of War will let you know how things progress. If you dont respond within 1 day if the state is contested your forces shall be retreated and the state remain unclaimed.

Enjoy!

The french slavs look to their leader for guidance. HE Says: The forests and the great plains rightfully belong to the slavs. By war or love the French must take this land.

(Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth leads the Parisian army, expanding the warlordship into G5 territory)

The vanguard of the French Slav army move into the area. They report a vast expanse of plains - great expanses of wheat wave gently in the cool breeze.

"What a land!" they esclaim, filling their fodder bags with grain without care.

But then, a great thunderous rumble from the fields to the East. A vast horde of mean looking folk hove into view - 20 000 strong - spears braying on shields.

The French Slav Vanguard has but two choices: Flee or Fight?

Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth led the Parisian army away, not reluctantly but with his head held high. This was a sign. The LORD speaks in mysterious ways and tells us that this land is not to be ours...yet. The ancestors says to us "Our time will come...patience....patience..."

Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth guided by the Lord rendezvous with Warlord Yir-chan of clan Sky and his men of Men at arms, Militia, healers and supply wagon . The combined Parisian and Bourque force push on from their meeting point of the State of Summer Set into the great plains of the east. (L17)

The combined Parisian and Bourque forces roll into the area, advancing towards a small but well developed township. They are greeted at the town gates by an emissary,

"Stay your weapons, friends, we mean you no ill will. We welcome you to the State of Razan Kazar. We have long admired your nation from across the border, and wish to become part of your great empire."

The Warlords are taken somewhat aback, they had been expecting a scrap - their confidence bruised by their hasty retreat from overwhelming brute forces only 2 years past.

"Please, we welcome you here. We also own the state to the North West (L18) of here. These lands are small but we supply much needed farmland for an ever expanding empire. Take this bushel of apples, try them - are they not the sweetest apples you have ever tried?"

The Warlords look at the apples bemused - both much more accustomed to the flavour of horse meat and offal. Still, they accept the offer - there is no need for a fight this day. They nod to the emissary, and the gates of the township are opened.

The French Warlordship of Slavland are bequeathed the State of Razan Kazar (L17 & L18) which both provide a basic amount of farmland and taxable citizens. A glorious, bloodless day for the Warlordship.

Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth and Warlord Yir-chan of clan Sky travel with their troupe of some thousand men to the southern most point of the land Razan Kazar. Warlord EP-chan looks into the distance. A billowing cloud of smoke appears over the horizon. The two warlords look to each other. Could this bee a sign? They leave behind their men to investigate. Slowly approaching the source by crawling across the plains in disguises they recognize the cause, their fellow Warlord of clan Light, Tormato-chan.

As expected Warlord Tormato-chan of clan Light ordered his 300 men at arms, 2 healers and both supply wagons to set the field on fire...

Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth and Warlord Yir-chan of clan Sky ask Warlord Tormato-chan of clan Light to stop and think. Tormato-chan decides to follow The Parisian and Bourque Force into Foreign land.(L15)

The peasantry cower in their huts as the host of the Warlords roll past their villages. The land is oddly silent, even the birds are quiet in their perches.

No resistance is given. The peasantry accept their new fate with an ominous feeling of dread.

The state provides a basic amount of farmland - should the Warlordship not burn the fields - and taxable citizens.

Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth, Warlord Yir-chan of clan Sky and Warlord Tormato-chan of clan Light find this small state to be amusing. Gathering their supplies they meet a fellow clan group. Unlike the Parisian Bourque and Tomato people they use spears... a weapon of sorts. They allow these in named spear men clan to join them in their conquest of new lands. The force move south (L14)

"More bloody cows," groans a common foot soldier "all we ever conquer is bloody cows!"

The Warlords are pleased. The peasantry are affable in a scared, unintelligent way and the cows certainly look meaty. Indeed, this is as fine a place as any the Warlords have come across, providing ample farmland and taxable citizens.

However not all in the Warlordship is good.

Whilst the Warlords enjoy yet another conquest, The Capital City is ravaged by a horrendous earthquake. The Wooden Fort has crumbled to nothing more than kindling and rubble, the barracks and stables equally have been reduced to nothing. The people say that it is a curse that the Warlords have brought upon them by their lust and greed for more and more lands. The City is in urgent need of repair. 15% of the population has been wiped out, and a further 30% are now homeless. Unless the Warlords make major efforts to repair and restore what is broken, their empire will become rotten from its very core.

After the Earthquake, the Warlords must make a critical decision on how to approach a rebuild.

OPTION 1: Spend 30% of your next budget in rebuilding efforts

OPTION 2: Force the homeless to rebuild, but give them housing during and after the rebuild

OPTION 3: Abandon the city and send the remaining population to neighboring cities

The Warlords of French Slavland have no choice. The city of Light must be rebuilt. Ready the taxes for burning

Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth, Warlord Yir-chan of clan Sky and Warlord Tormato-chan of clan Light continue on their trek into the wilderness not knowing wat lays ahead nor what has happened to their most glorious capital(L8). The Warlords of French Slavland now gather in the State of Summer Set as their temporary base of operations until Paris is rebuilt. In honor of the Lords warning of their ever expanding empire, the collective clan is deciding who shall they pick to send word of the Capital cities destruction? They can choose no other than Warlord Bear-chan of clan Dust. Warlord Bear-chan of clan Dust starts to gather a most magnificent Tourangeau force in The Lower State of the Lord's Garden.

There is wood, and lots of it! A great supply of lumber to help rebuild the citadel for sure.

The French-Slavs have gained a medium sized state producing a good amount of lumber.

The Warlords march towards the sea, itching for a fight that seems forever illusive.

The new state is thriving with industry, great plumes of smoke scatter the horizon as blacksmiths work at their forges and the smelters are at overload. The iron mining in the region is owned by Baron Alexander Borimirov, a proud man, distrustful of foreigners and even more so Warlords - however he understands the ways of the world.

"We welcome the great Warlords from across the hills and plains. My name is Baron Alexander Borimov, the head of all iron mining production in this region. Your reputation precedes you, great warlords, and we wish you no ill will here. We may hold different beliefs, but we can work together. I own this land and the adjacent state (G8) Aand have grown very wealthy from it. We have the greatest smith's in Eastern Europe, and the iron here...the quality is beyond compare. We wish for things to remain this way. Allow me to retain control of these regions and we will be a vassal state, of course. We will sell you the iron, at a great price. I hope that you will work alongside me?"

The Warlords have two choices:

1. Accept the offer. The two states will become vassals of the Warlordship and receive the resource benefit of the region, but not be able to charge taxes in either region.

2. Reject the offer. Baron Borimov is either imprisoned or executed. The Warlordship gains the states as vassals and gets both the resource and tax bonuses, however will prove unpopular and risks the chance of rebellion.

The Warlords don't know what to do, except one.

Warlord Tormato-chan knows that it is by taxes that their empire lives.

As soon as Baron Alexander Borimov finishes his question Tormato-chan slashes off hit head in a single blow of his ax.

There was no other way. This is the way of the world.

The people are outraged and shocked. Baron Borimov was by no means well loved, but he was not some bloody foreigner.

The people will never forget this...it is wise that the Warlords do not either.

The Warlords gain two small states with a basic production of iron and taxable citizens.

Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth, Warlord Yir-chan of clan Sky and Warlord Tormato-chan of clan Light don't give a shit. Warlord Tormato-chan of clan Light and his group will stay here in these states while Warlord EP-chan of clan Truth, Warlord Yir-chan of clan Sky continue on with their force (L5)
