DofE requires a mandatory community service of 1 hour a week for 6, 6, then 12 months (for bronze, silver, gold respectively) so I've done quite a bit.

I do a lot but never thought of it as "community service". I actually donate 30% if my income too. It's one of those things that make me happier.

I volunteer at a free clinic, hospital, and at school, am in environment club. Not as much as other folks but quite a bit. Nothing to show off, but I like doing it. Makes my heart giggle a bit
