When you say side, do you mean faces or edges? If I had a 3D circle then it would have 2 faces, but if I drew a circle then it would only have 1 face. If you mean edges then it only has 1 edge.

Nice question with lots of potential answers! But, taken at its simplest level the answer must be 1. How many sides does a triangle have? 3. How many sides does a square have? 4. Ergo How many does a circle have? 1...
