MJ was the better scorer and maybe had the better prime... but LBJ is the goat in large part because he dominates over time. The dude is almost 40 and still killing it.

No one has near matched the dominance he showed in basketball

Better basketball player? Kobe Bryant, never seen anyone that skilled in every single part of the game

Better winner? Michael Jordan, it seem that he decided that he was going to win and there was nothing you can do to stop him

Better body? LeBron James, once per generation you get a freak of nature, but usually they can't play ball, he can

 
You can't really compare them because the game has changed so much. They are both the best players of their generations, but if you insist on comparing them, the best player of all time it is Wilt. He truly dominated the league when he played.

sure id take LBJ in a 1:1, as he’s just bigger than MJ. But this isn’t a one man sport. 

 
Michael Jordan is just the GOAT. Even though Lebron has played longer. I think MJ could beat Lebron in a 1v1 if his shots were on point, but he would have to take lower percentage shots and would probably loose.
