I was banned once from Facebook because they caught on that I wasn't using my real name. I used the same fake name on my new Facebook but they haven't noticed (it still technically exists but I haven't touched it for quite a while, maybe that's why). I don't use social media anyway because I hate the whole concept so this is my only experience with getting banned.

 
banned, no...censored, yes, which is one of the reasons i almost never use social media anymore...

and while i almost always think that the good in technological advancements outweighs the bad, i think that social media (at least as how the system is structured now) is one of the worst things ever created...
