A mixture is cool, but I do tend to lean towards those that are metal, but a little more on the lighter (but still heavy) side.

I like the legs and body to be metal but wood every where else

Ivory.  My tables kill a lot of elephants

I like nice thick wooden ones. That way I can slam on them during a game and it makes a nice bang without damaging it. 
Metal ones are just cold...
