Fireworks am used to celebrate just about everything these days i hear them all year round , New Year , Diwali , Halloween , Bonfire Night , Christmas light switch ons , Chinese New year , someones birthday.
I personally don't see the point none of these celebrations require the use of fireworks you can have a good night without em plus it scares the animals.
When i was younger it used to scare the elderly cause it reminded them of the Blitz but i swear i never used to hear them all the time when i was kid.
