My hair is already long and I don't get it cut often so that's not bothering me really. Except being cooped up makes me want to do crazy things to it out of boredom. I'd fight for hairstylists to be essential workers but maybe the government is doing us a favor by making them not. Or maybe they're just making botched home haircuts/perms/dye jobs more common :v

Where do you live? I bet even easter island has barbers.
Karumba, it’s in North West Queensland in Australia.  There are a couple of former hairdressers who refuse to do it anymore, and one 50 miles away who sets up in a truck yard once a month, but I don’t count those 😄

In the 2016 census, Karumba had a population of 531 people. - Wikipedia

Wow that's like the end of the world.

So there are quite a few people who live here 'on paper' so they can have their cars registered and other things at a Karumba address.  There are gov benefits and exemptions for various things when you live very remote.  The reality is that currently the actual population is about 230-250.  About half are >65yo.  I'm pretty over these figures because it is pertinent to my job, and we cop the monsoon every year, usually get cyclones passing by, and are invariably cut of by road for periods of 1 week to 3 months every year during the wet.  I'm in the health care field and know most people in town to varying degrees.
